Following our previous sold-out events, we are thrilled to announce the return of The Black Santa’s Grotto Experience for 2024.

This year, you can find The Kringle’s in a stunning new location as our hardworking elves have transformed The Old Shoreditch railway ticket hall into a magical Christmas wonderland!

Your Visit

Upon arrival, Mrs. Kringle and her friendly helpers will guide you through our enchanting grotto. The one-hour workshop tour involves making reindeer food using Mrs. Kringle's very own secret recipe, a mini Elf School workshop, and a group meet-and-greet session with Mr. Kringle, the Black Santa himself!

You will get to experience the wonders of celebrating Black British culture Santa’s workshop surrounded by sparkly presents, elegant stockings, and letters from children piled high! Enjoy the sounds and smells of Christmas with many surprises in store.

Every child will get a chance to share their Christmas list with Mr. Kringle and capture a memorable picture with the man in red. At the end of the visit, each child will also receive a special gift.

The Black Santa’s Grotto Experience is uniquely designed for families who value positive Black representation, inclusion, and diversity, and would like their children to experience a magical Christmas celebration.

We aim to create lifelong memories for children and evoke nostalgic moments for all. Our events welcome believers of all ages, from first Christmases to beyond. The activities are aimed at young babies & up to 8 years but many older children have attended previously and loved it.

Genius Gingerbreads and Clever Candy Canes

Each standard workshop visit consists of 20 children split into two groups:

• Genius Gingerbreads, for those who have booked or would like to book a group visit (up to ten children & 20 adults) this option can also be booked with less attendees if you wish.

• Clever Candy Canes, for those who have booked or would like to book individual/small family visits

Both groups will enjoy the first part of the grotto experience together and will then split into groups when it is time to meet Santa.

Ticket Information

Ticket Classifications:

• An infant is aged less than 1 year (0-12 months) – This option includes one adult – £30

• A child is aged 1 to 15 years – This option includes one adult – £35

• An additional adult ticket is for an attendee aged 16 years or older – £15

Group bookings (Genius Gingerbreads) -£450 this accommodates up to 10 children/infants and up to 20 adults

One additional adult ticket may be purchased per child/infant.

Infants attend for a reduced price but can still participate in sensory activities, have their names printed on Santa’s Good List, and receive a special gift.

A keepsake photograph with Santa can be purchased before or during the event which includes a printed photo and a digital copy.

For group bookings, you can have up to 10 children/infants and 20 adults. This is a great option to have a magical Christmas get-together with your friends or family, or to enjoy a more private interaction with Mr Kringle. For group bookings, please select the group ticket option at checkout (Genius Gingerbreads)

Relaxed (SEN) Sessions

As part of our dedication to inclusivity, we also offer sessions specially reserved for children and adults with additional needs. These sessions are adapted to allow guests to enjoy a more comfortable experience without feeling overwhelmed. Adaptations include reduced lighting and flickering lights, lower volumes, and a space to rest if needed during the event. These have smaller group sizes of 16 children, which are split into groups of 8 during the meeting with Santa.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Please select the correct date and time as the experience is non-refundable.

• Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your slot as entry will not be permitted once the session has begun.

• There are a maximum of 20 child/infant tickets per session which will be split into two groups of 10 when meeting Santa.

• All persons attending must have their own ticket.

• One a child /infant ticket includes entry for one adult.

• If you would like a private meeting with Santa, please book the Group Ticket option.

Where Can I Buy Tickets?

Tickets are exclusively available from our website www.noirkringle.co.uk please be aware of any other sites or individuals claiming to sell tickets as they may be fraudulent.

Tickets are non-refundable. However, changes to the names on the booking may be made. The closing date for all changes is 11thOctober.

Each child/infant ticket includes entry for one adult. There is also the option to buy an additional adult ticket. There is a maximum of one additional adult ticket per child/infant ticket.

How Much Do the Tickets Cost?

Do Newborn Babies Require a Ticket?

All entrants, including babies, need a ticket. Children under one year old will require an infant ticket which also includes entry for one adult.

Will My Grotto Visit Be Private?

The first part of the experience is shared and will be done in a group of up to 20 children/infants (16 during relaxed sessions). The meeting with Santa will be done in a smaller group of up to 10 children/infants. However, if you book the group ticket option, your time with Santa will be private.

How Will I Receive My Tickets?

Tickets will be sent to the email address used to make the booking. If you do not receive them within 24 hours, please check your junk mail. For any issues, please contact us at info@noirkringle.co.uk. You can print your tickets out or we can scan them on your device.

Do I Need to Print My Tickets?

We can scan the tickets on your device but we recommend you print them to avoid any issues with phone battery/signal.

Can I Buy a Ticket on the Door?

All bookings must be made online prior to the event. We strongly advise you to book early due to high demand.

Can I Book an Additional Ticket Later?

If you require an additional ticket, please check the website for availability. If that date is sold out, additional tickets will not be available and the person without a ticket should not attend. We cannot admit more than 20 children/infants per standard session or 16 children/infants per relaxed session.

Are There COVID-19 Guidelines in Place?

We are committed to maintaining the strictest hygiene standards in our experience including regular cleaning and handwashing. We are leaving 15-minute windows between each session for cleaning. Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance and exit. The grotto will be run in line with government guidelines at all times, and if these change, we may be required to adapt the format at short notice.

How Do We Get There?

The event is located at 347 Old Street, Shoreditch, EC1V 9LP which is a short walk from Hoxton (Overground), Shoreditch High Street (Overground), or Old Street (Northern line) stations. There is no car parking available.

Is There Somewhere We Can Leave Our Bags/Buggies?

There is a small cloakroom and buggy park where you can leave any prams at the entrance/check in area. Unfortunately, we do not allow prams or pushchairs inside the grotto. Noir Kringle accepts no responsibility for the loss of personal belongings.

How Long Are the Sessions?

The experience lasts up to one hour. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in, especially during busy periods.

Does the Experience Include a Gift?

Each child/infant will receive one gift. The gift is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise. Adults will NOT receive a gift.

Will the Information I Provide Affect the Choice of Gift?

No. During booking, we ask for the child’s name, age, and gift wishes. This information will be passed on to Mr. Kringle to make your visit more personal but will have no impact on the gift that the child receives.

Is a Photo with Santa Included?

Photos are not included but can be purchased when booking your ticket or at the end of your visit. Payments can be made by card or cash.

Photographs and other gifts are available to purchase upon exiting the grotto and are subject to a processing time of up to 10 minutes. Please check all photo products before you leaveas we cannot offer refunds or retake photos after you have left.

Each printed photo includes a free digital copy of the same image. When booking, should you desire more than one printed image, please select the amount and add it to the cart. pre-here

Can photos been taken on phones/ cameras or other devices during the experience? No. photography is prohibited Once past the check in point.

What is Your Refund Policy?

If you are late for your allocated time or cannot make your session, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund. Please ensure you are confident in being able to fulfil your booking before completing the purchase of your tickets.

If we find it necessary to cancel your booking for any reason, we will offer you a full refund or the option to book an alternative session (subject to availability). We reserve the right to cancel at short notice, in which case a full refund will be given.

If legislation changes, for example, regarding COVID-19, that requires us to make alterations to the way we operate but remain open, no refunds will be given.

Is the Grotto Wheelchair Friendly?

Yes, the grotto is wheelchair friendly.

Is The Event Suitable for People with Additional Needs?

Will There Be Food and Drink Available?

Yes, the Kringle Café will be selling lots of lovely hot, cold, sweet, and savoury festive delights drawing influence from Black Caribbean, African, and Black British culture. Make sure you pop by for old-school sweets and drinks, patties, delicious hot chocolates, and so much more!

Will There Be a Gift Shop?

Yes, our gift shop has an array of beautiful products to purchase as gifts or to take home as a token to remember the magical time you had!

Are There Baby Changing Facilities?

Yes, as well as several toilets.

Is Smoking or Vaping Allowed?

No, there is a strict no smoking or vaping policy throughout the event.
